With over 800 species in Myakka River State Park, learning and identifying plants can seem like an overwhelming task.

In this program, Master Naturalist (and FOMR Member) Steve White will focus on seven park plants that are both common AND have fascinating stories.  These are plants that every self-respecting park visitor should know!

Join us on this leisurely, informative and fun journey up Ranch House Road and into the world of Myakka's flora.

• Park admission is NOT included in the guided walk fee

• This 2-mile walk will take place on an unpaved backcountry trail

• Check-in location and additional details will be emailed prior to the event

• Kids welcome with parents/guardians 

• For the comfort and enjoyment of all participants and for your pet’s safety, no pets please. 

• Certified service dogs, trained to perform certain tasks, are permitted 

• All ticket sales final.
