Friends of Myakka River
Love Geocaching? Curious to try it out?
You're invited to join Friends of Myakka River at the Lake Pavilion at Myakka River State Park on February 18 from 8 am to 12 pm, when we'll be hanging out at Funcoast Bash 8, an annual free day of geocaching fun.
For this popular geocaching extravaganza, 200 new caches will be released the night before the event. Some caches will be along the main road, while others can be found along the backcountry firebreak roads. There will also be a poker run of 7 caches and a "per chance drawing" for geocaching supplies, tools and swag.
If you've never cached before, you can join a "Geo Buddy" and learn the ropes. We'll also have free snacks and fun games with prizes.
Registration is NOT required and this event is suitable for all ages - So stop by and learn more about this fun way to experience Myakka's Magic!
We look forward to seeing you!
