Friends of Myakka River
CANCELED DUE TO TROPICAL STORM WATCH
Love Myakka River State Park? Love to Bike Myakka? Looking for an opportunity to give back?
Then join us for our June Bike Myakka! for Good Service Ride.
On Saturday, June 4, in honor of Myakka River State Park's 80th anniversary (the park officially opened on June 1, 1942), we'll take a ROAD RIDE (with a few optional feet of packed dirt road) down Myakka's Memory Lane, and learn a bit about the park's rich history.
After a short (under an hour) invasive plant removal project, we will enjoy a free picnic lunch, sponsored by Friends of Myakka River, at (as is appropriate) Myakka's historic Log Pavilion.
PLEASE NOTE: Total ride distance will be less than 8 miles; The exact ride route and work location will be shared with registrants closer to the event. Lunch will take place in a covered pavilion.
All registered Friends of Myakka River Members who attend will receive a FREE Birds of Myakka River State Park Laminated Foldout Field Guide!
Not a Friends member yet? Annual Individual Memberships are $25, Family Memberships are $35. Join us HERE.
